| The Solar Energy for Agricultural Resilience (SoLAR) Phase II project builds on the successes and lessons of Phase I (2019–2024) in South Asia and expands its scope to East Africa (Kenya and Ethiopia). Supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by the International Water Management Institute (IWMI) with partners, the program aims to strengthen the enabling environment for scaling socially inclusive and climate-resilient solar energy for agriculture (SESA).
SoLAR Phase II will focus on four interlinked outcomes:
Meeting Objectives
- Introduce SoLAR Phase II objectives, outcomes, and approach.
- Share key findings and lessons from Phase I pilots in South Asia.
- Facilitate field visits to promote cross-learning and work towards inclusive, climate-resilient scaling of solar energy for agriculture.
- Gather inputs from stakeholders to build country/regional implementation strategies.
