DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nInternational Water Management Institute (IWMI) and its
  partners are organizing a three-day Global Forum as a part of its Swiss A
 gency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) funded project titled Solar Ir
 rigation for Agricultural Resilience in South Asia (SoLAR). This forum wil
 l bring together around 150 key stakeholders from across the world to disc
 uss the growing body of work and evidence in South Asia on solar applicati
 ons in agriculture\, particularly bringing together key experiences\, insi
 ghts and promotion of south-south collaboration and scaling up of global a
 mbitions around effective and sustainable use of solar energy in agricultu
 re.\nUsing learnings from South Asia\, this forum will present unique insi
 ghts on the effectiveness of solar irrigation as a strategy to sustainably
  manage water\, energy\, food and climate (mitigation and adaptation) inte
 rlinkages. It will highlight how governments are using evidence from the f
 ield to develop and deploy ambitious policies and programs on solar irriga
 tion to address nationally determined contributions (NDC) commitments whil
 e supporting climate-resilient\, gender-equitable\, and socially inclusive
